Alternative Copenhagen by Cargo Bike

Guided tour

About this experience

This is the perfect experience for people of all capabilities and ages. Whether you’re a family, a young or an older couple, a group or a lone traveler, you’ll definitely want to experience Copenhagen by cargo bike, and we’ll tailor the ride to your skills and interests. We focus less on classic tourist spots and more on alternative Copenhagen such as open air food markets, Christianshavn, Refshaleøen, Nørrebro, Vesterbro, hidden gems and spots for a swim in the harbour. Please be aware that this is an active cycling experience. For each group of 6 guests we rely on 2 or more guests to cycle. Ideally we all take it in turns to cycle and be passengers. If you prefer not to cycle, please book for one extra (fictive) person than you actually are so that we can cover the cost of an additional bike host. Please indicate this in your booking. Before we head off, we will make sure you know how to operate the cargo bikes. As we bike around Copenhagen, you will experience being a rider and a passenger. A cargo bike is quintessentially Copenhagen, with over 40,000 cargo bikes. We use them for grocery shopping, picking up kids from daycare or taking grandma to her weekly bingo. We start and end the tour in a nursing home in the historic Nyboder area. We can ask around at the nursing home if a resident would like to join us on the day as well :)

    Hello, we're Cycling Without Age.

Cycling Without Age is on a mission to build better lives by giving elderly people the right to wind in their hair. We create experiences, friendships and happiness by means of beautiful three-wheeled cycle trishaws with a comfortable couch in the front. Since the beginning in 2012, volunteers have offered over 50,000 rides to elderly people and trained more than 10,000 pilots in 40 countries.
