Guided tour

About this experience

Did you know that 121 million school-aged children are currently out of education worldwide? And that millions more are in school but failing to learn? The vast majority of these children live in the world’s poorest, most fragile and disaster-hit countries. They are denied their right to education and life opportunities. By joining Street Child on a guided run up beautiful Montjuïc you support us in reaching out to the world’s toughest places where others won’t go. At the same time, you get to see a different side of Barcelona and get the most beautiful view of the city. Montjuïc is the greenest central area of Barcelona: the mountain is full of parks and gardens with historical roles as the centre for the International Exhibition of 1929 and the 1992 Olympic Games Stadium. The tour can take anything from 1 to 4 hours depending on your time and level. Remember to bring your own water bottle. Street Child is a non-for-profit charity. 100% of your contribution goes directly to Street Child's work for education.

    Hello, we're Street Child Denmark.

121 million school-aged children are currently out of education world-wide. Millions more children are in school but failing to learn. Street Child believes that achieving universal basic education is the single greatest step that can be taken towards the elimination of global poverty. Street Child prides itself on being willing to go to the world’s toughest places where others won’t, including remote, hard-to-reach areas and fragile, disaster-affected states. We recognise that the barriers to education are complex and interlinked, and our projects focus on a combination of education, child protection and livelihood support to address the social, economic and structural issues that underpin today’s education crisis. Wherever we work we partner with local organisations and communities and take an outcome-led approach. We use evidence to drive learning and the constant refinement and scale-up of programmes that create maximum impact for the most children at the lowest cost.
